Clay went to an Automotive Trade School where he learned to build all automatic transmissions. Clay got his first job working on transmissions in 1988. After a year Clay moved to Oakland, CA where he had worked for a couple different shops. After 5 years he moved back to Oklahoma and went to work for Master Tech transmission as a transmission builder. During this time he married his beautiful wife. After 7 years at Master Tech he moved onto Cottman Transmission as a transmission builder. When the economy took a turn for the worse Clay stumbled upon Silver Star Transmission where he is now the head builder. Clay says “out of all the jobs I have had, working for Silver Star has been the best by far and, if you really want to know what working for SST is like, Transmission heaven.” In his free time Clay and his wife do prison ministry, he likes writing and singing gospel music, his passion is the keyboard/piano, spending time with his wife and family, and every Saturday Clay and his wife have date night.
